PDMS-2 Motor Activities Program

The Peabody Motor Activities Program (P-MAP) is the instruction activity program that accompanies the Peabody Motor ScalesSecond Edition (PDMS-2). This manual provides some basic principles of motor learning, an interview of the education laws that impact the program, and suggestions for preparing viable instruction plans for children. In addition, the Motor Activities Program includes, as its central focus, units that address the motor skill areas assessed in the PDMS-2.

Illustrations for using the PDMS-2 and the Peabody Motor Activities Program are provided in case studies that translate the assessment results into programs for children. Also addressed are skill areas that need special focus when children have disabilities. After a child's motor skills have been assessed and the profile/summary form has been completed, select units from the PMAP to facilitate the child's development in specific skill areas.
