AliMed Sit-Straight Release Pommel Wheelchair Cushion has a pommel that conveniently drops out of the way to make transfers. The pommel of this pressure-relieving wheelchair cushion attaches securely with a hook-and-loop strap. While in place, the pommel assists with hip abduction and provides a gentle reminder to the individual who fidgets out of position on other wheelchair cushions. For unhindered transfers, simply pull on the hook and loop strap to drop the pommel (it stays attached to the strap so it won't get lost) so the patient can scoot forward on the cushion. This feature helps increase the patient's functional independence from sitting to standing.
The Solid Seat Insert (SSI) wheelchair cushion model now has a concave bottom that fills the space of the sagging sling seat to create a stable, flat sitting surface. Black, no-slip nylon incontinence cover.
