More About This Product
AliMed Nonadhesive T-Foam contours and molds with the body's contours. For general padding and large area support, T-Foam Soft is recommended. In high-pressure areas, firmer grades of T-Foam should be used. Care must be taken to select the proper T-Foam thickness and grade for full support and molding without bottoming out. Choose Soft (Pink) or Medium (Blue). 2 sheets per case.
18"W x 20"L x 3/8" thickT-Foam Advanced Technology
Originally invented by NASA, T-Foam provides unmatched comfort and support. NASA set out to counteract discomfort for astronauts who sit for long periods of time and invented this "memory foam". What sets T-Foam apart is the phenomenon called "slow recovery". T-Foam retains its compressed shape long enough for the patient's capillary vessels to nourish tissues on the weight-bearing surface. The T-Foam then "recovers" its original shape, reducing pressure points.
T-Foam absorbs up to 90% of impact shock an vibration. T-Foam's open-cell structure provides superior pressure distribution and allows air to circulate more freely to avoid heat build up and perspiration.
When NASA made this memory foam available to public product development, AliMed was the first company to use this T-Foam technology. Today AliMed offers the widest selection of T-Foam products for medical professionals. T-Foam is the optimal foam choice for pressure relief and is a great solution for wheelchair cushions, like Cushions, and long-term care mattresses
