It crystallizes, allowing the cold pack to remain flexible at all times

Easily cleaned with alcohol or soap and water and can be gas sterilized
To use as a cold pack, store in freezer for two hours, wrap in towel and apply
For use as hot pack, immerse in 3 quarts boiling hot water for 7 minutes, wrap in towel and apply
