LifePack Water Filter Just one package will make a 3-day supply of clean, potable water from virtually any water source even a muddy, brackish or polluted streams and puddles! Sports drink syrup "charges" drive the forward osmosis filtration process. No power or chemicals are required. The LifePack is simple enough for a child to use. Just put dirty water in the red port, and one syrup charge in the green port to start the filtration process.
Used by the U.S. military during Hurricane Katrina, this technology filters out dangerous biological organisms such as bacteria, viruses and parasites. Even dissolved solids such as heavy metals and salts are greatly diminished, providing you with safe water.
